PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article in which efficiency of an absorption area of an absorber is improved by arrangement of salient parts of a surface sheet, and lateral leakage is hard to occur.SOLUTION: An absorbent article 1 comprises a surface sheet 2 formed of a laminate of a first sheet 2u and a second sheet 2d. The laminate includes plural junctions 8 of the first sheet 2u and the second sheet 2d, the first sheet 2u has plural salient parts 9 projecting to a direction separating from the second sheet 2d and projecting to a body of a wearer, on portions other than the junctions 8. The salient parts 9 are arranged on a crotch part 1M. The surface sheet 2 includes a center area 2C positioned on a center part containing a vertical center line CL, a pair of side part areas 2S positioned on both side parts in a vertical direction X, and a pair of intermediate part areas 2M positioned between the center area 2C and the respective side part areas 2S.
