PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for charging a foaming depressant of slag capable of inexpensively and easily depressing the foaming of the slag to be exhausted, and a charging device therefor.SOLUTION: When slag is exhausted from the first container such as a converter storing slag S so as to be stored into the second container such as a slag pan 2, the first field 31a passing through an exhaust slag stream from the first container and the second field 31b at the inside of the second container are imaged, respectively, and the exhaust of the slag S is detected on the basis of the brightness information as the imaging results of both the first field 31a and second field 31b, and the foaming depressant of the slag S is charged to the second container based on the detection result of the exhaust of the slab S.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
