A surgical cable and crimp device is provided. The cable has an enlargement (bead) affixed to one of its ends. The crimp member includes two holes. One of the holes includes a slot and a cavity. The cavity is sized to accept the bead of the cable, and the slot is sized to receive the flexible cable, but not allow the bead to pass through. The other hole is a simple through hole. The cable can be inserted to loop the bone isolated from the crimp member. After the beaded end of the surgical cable is fastened to the crimp, the cable is passed through the simple through hole. The cable is then tensioned by the application thereto of a tensioning tool with the tool applied to the cable and to an abutment face of the crimp member.Linvention concerne un ensemble câble et élément de sertissage chirurgical. Le câble comprend une partie élargie (bille) fixée à une de ses extrémités. Lélément de sertissage comporte deux orifices. Un de ces orifices est pourvu dune fente et dune cavité. La cavité est conçue pour accepter la bille du câble et la fente est conçue pour recevoir le câble flexible, mais pour empêcher la bille de passer. Lautre orifice est un orifice traversant simple. Le câble peut être inséré de manière à faire le tour de los isolé par rapport à lélément de sertissage. Une fois que lextrémité du câble comportant la bille est fixée à lélément de sertissage, on fait passer le câble par lorifice traversant simple. Le câble est ensuite tendu à laide dun instrument de serrage, linstrument étant en contact avec le câble et une surface de butée de lélément de sertissage.
