A roping training dummy is claimed comprising a dummy representing an animal having a target to be lassoed by a roper. A position sensor, such as video camera or radar system, is disposed on the dummy for monitoring the real-time position of the roper relative to the lasso target. A monitor on the dummy is visible to the roper and operatively connected to the position sensor. The monitor displays the ropers real-time position and a positional reference corresponding to a preferred roper placement.Linvention concerne un mannequin dentraînement à la capture au lasso, comprenant un mannequin représentant un animal pourvu dune cible à attraper au lasso par un cavalier.
