PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve accuracy for joining in a region of interest.SOLUTION: The magnetic resonance imaging apparatus in the embodiments includes an imager, a setting unit, an extractor and a joined image-creating unit. The imager acquires a plurality of sliced images with respect to each of a plurality of imaging positions by performing a plurality of imagings while moving the top plate of a bed. The setting unit sets a region of interest of a sliced image different from a part of sliced images based on the region of interest designated to at least a part of sliced images in the plurality of sliced images respectively for the plurality of imaging positions. The extractor extracts evaluation information for evaluating continuity of images in the region of interest of the plurality of sliced images.
