PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spinning reel for fishing in which, even if a handle is wound up in a heavy load and operated, the rotation never gets heavy.SOLUTION: A spinning reel for fishing includes: a pinion gear 8 engaged to a drive gear 7 rotationally driven by the rotating operation of a handle 5, and having a rotor 2 fixed to the tip a spool spindle 3a mounting a spool 3 with a fishing line wound at the front end side, and inserted to the pinion gear 8 and an oscillating mechanism 12 for supporting the rear end side of the spool spindle, and reciprocating and driving the spool spindle in the longitudinal direction with the drive of the drive gear. The spool spindle 3a is supported at the front of an engagement range W of the drive gear 7 and the pinion gear 8, and at an inner face 8f of the pinion gear 8, and also supported to a sliding body 15 of the oscillating mechanism 12 at the rear end.
