PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibration type driving device that prevents an artifact from being generated in an image of a magnetic resonance imaging apparatus even when installed in the vicinity of or inside a gantry of the magnetic resonance imaging apparatus.SOLUTION: A vibration type driving device includes a piezoelectric element, an elastic member to which the piezoelectric element is fastened, a driven member in which a relative displacement occurs between the elastic member and itself by exciting vibration in the elastic member, and a contact member provided between the elastic member and the driven member.
