PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide improved devices, components of the devices, and methods for administering an injectable to a patient.SOLUTION: An automatic injection device 10 which is configured to subcutaneously inject a substance into a user, comprises: a housing part 12； a syringe which is movably disposed in the housing part and includes a barrel part for holding the substance； a hollow needle； a bung； a plunger for actuating the syringe in such a manner that the needle projects from the housing part and for subsequently applying pressure to the bung； a compressible and expanded central part； a flange； and a biasing mechanism. There are provided methods and kits for using the automatic injection device and methods and kits for promoting the automatic injection device based on advantageous characteristics of the device compared to a pre-filled syringe.
