The device (100) has an indirect or direct clamping body (10) for clamping a medical implant (102) in an insertion device and comprising a proximal end (12) and a distal end (14). The body has a rod (26), an extension (16) and two clamping surface areas (18, 20). The extension is oriented in a radial direction to an inner axis (24) of the body, and the surface areas point towards each other, where the surface areas are aligned parallel to one another. The surface areas and/or the extension are connected with an area of the implant in a force-fit and/or form-fit manner in a clamped state. An independent claim is also included for an insertion device.
