PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a towline device for a companion animal, the device that prevents the occurrence of theft or disappearance of the companion animal by using the towline device, specifically, a radio communication technology, and enabling a user to quickly recognize and deal it when dropping the towline inadvertently, in which a user terminal and communication means for performing short-range wireless communication are mounted on a wearing band comprised in the towline for the companion animal and a handler caught by the user, respectively, and when the communication connection is released by the distance with the user terminal, the user can recognize the companion animal before losing it by outputting notification.SOLUTION: A towline device for a companion animal includes: a handler carried by a user, and equipped with first communication means in communication with a user terminal； and a wearing band worn by the companion animal, coupled with the handler through a lead strap, and equipped with second communication means in communication with the user terminal.
