PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article whose absorption performance resists an obstruction by resisting occurrence of creases in an absorber and which looks nice and improves use feeling.SOLUTION: An absorbent article 1 according to this invention has, in a ventral side elastic portion WA and a dorsal side elastic portion WB, a main body side sheet 32 which is joined to an absorbent body 2 and an outer surface side sheet 31. The main body side sheet 32 or the outer surface side sheet 31 is an elastic sheet. The elastic sheet has high stretch portions 31H and low stretch portions 31L alternately arranged in a Y direction. The elastic sheet is disposed in the ventral side elastic portion WA or the dorsal side elastic portion WB, and in a region 23PT that overlaps with an absorber 23, the high stretch portions 31H of the elastic sheet are joined to form first joined portions 1JT.
