PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain an absorber from being twisted while retaining the close adhesion to a wearer of an absorbent article.
SOLUTION: In the pull-up type absorbent article, contraction of an exterior sheet 4 in a second joint area 62 where the absorber 2 and the exterior sheet 4 are jointed to each other is prevented by jointing waistline elastic members (i.e. a front elastic member 53 and a rear elastic member 54) to the exterior sheet 4 without overlapping with the second joint area 62. Accordingly, twisting of the absorber 2 caused by the contraction of the waistline elastic members can be inhibited, and as a result, deformation or breakage of an absorbent core of the absorber 2 can be prevented. In the absorbent article, a part of the waistline elastic members overlaps with the absorber 2 in non-contact areas disposed on the left and right sides of the second joint area 62. As a result, the length of the waistline elastic member can be sufficiently secured, and the close adhesion to the wearer of the absorbent article can be sufficiently retained.
