PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an emulsion prepared without using an emulsifier.SOLUTION: The emulsion is prepared by mixing 0.5 wt.% to 2 wt.% of carboxymethylcellulose sodium, and 1 wt.% to 5 wt.% of a jojoba oil, a squalane oil, or an olive oil with electrolytically reduced water stabilized with a pH of 10.5 to 14, thereby emulsifying the jojoba oil, the squalane oil, or the olive oil. As an oil is generally emulsified using an emulsifier other than an essentially necessary component, the resultant emulsified oil sometimes causes allergy by the emulsifier when it is applied on the skin or the like.
