PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catheter, in which the surface of a balloon or another member mounted on the balloon has no sliding contact with a valve member when the catheter is inserted into an end structure, a protective sheath to be used for the catheter, and a catheter system having an end structure for inserting the catheter and the catheter.SOLUTION: A catheter comprises: a long catheter body part 11； a balloon 12 disposed on the leading end side of the catheter body part 11； and a protective sheath 30 for covering the external surface of the balloon 12.
