The stretcher (10) has a bed (22) placed according to a longitudinal axis (L). A barrier (24) and another barrier (26) are placed on both sides of the bed according to the longitudinal axis. The former barrier includes a body provided with a tube (36) having two ends, and another tube (38). A hanger (42) includes a portion slidably mounted in the former tube, and another portion slidably mounted in the latter tube, where the length of the former barrier is regulated by displacement of the hanger compared to the body.L'invention concerne un brancard ambulatoire (10) comprenant un couchage (22) disposé selon un axe longitudinal (L) et des première (24) et deuxième (26) barrières disposées de part et d'autre du couchage selon ledit axe longitudinal. L'invention se caractérise par le fait qu'au moins la première barrière comporte : - un corps muni d'un premier tube (36), comportant une première et une seconde extrémités, et d'un second tube (38), comportant une troisième et une quatrième extrémités, lesdits tubes étant distants l'un de l'autre, - au moins un premier cintre (42) comportant une première portion et une seconde portion reliées entre elles par une portion intermédiaire, la première portion du premier cintre étant montée coulissante dans le premier tube, tandis que la seconde portion du premier cintre est montée coulissante dans le second tube, grâce à quoi la longueur de la première barrière peut être réglée par déplacement du premier cintre par rapport au corps.
