A process for preparing a supersaturated solution of rebaudioside D, comprising the steps of: a) mixing rebaudioside D in aqueous solution by heating at elevated temperature to produce a heated solution of rebaudioside D with at least pH 7,0 b) cooling the rebaudioside D solution to obtain a supersaturated solution rebaudioside D c) adding at least one beverage ingredient in a supersaturated solution of rebaudioside D to give the beverage product precursor with a pH of at least 7.0 and d) acidifying beverage product precursor to a pH less than 4,0.2. The method of claim 1, wherein rebaudioside D solution is heated in step (a) to a temperature at least 80 ° C.3. The method of claim 1, wherein rebaudioside D solution is heated in step (a) to a temperature ranging from 75 ° C to 90 ° C.4. The method of claim 1, wherein rebaudioside D solution is heated in step (a) to a temperature ranging from 80 ° C to 85 ° C.5. The method of claim 1, wherein the mixing is at least partly carried out concurrently with nagrevaniem.6.
