PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat sterilization apparatus which heat-sterilizes objects by containing a large number of objects within a sterilization tank and spraying hot water toward the objects and reduces variation of the heating quantity according to the containing site of an object occurring on temperature rising.SOLUTION: The heat sterilization apparatus has a sterilization tank 1 which includes a cylindrical trunk part, a mirror plate 4 closing the deep-side end part of the trunk part, and an opening and a door 3 opening and closing the opening provided in the other end part so as to allow opening and closing of the opening. Hot water is sprayed toward objects 2 from a spray nozzle provided within the sterilization tank in a state where the objects 2 are contained in the sterilization tank 1 to heat-sterilize the objects contained in the sterilization tank.
