PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disposable diaper by which side leak of urine can be prevented with a simple structure when urine soaks into a sheet material for three-dimensional gather or urine soaks between a sheet material for three-dimensional gather and a leak prevention sheet material and prevents air permeability of the three-dimensional gathers from being degraded.SOLUTION: A continuous sheet material forming respective three-dimensional gathers 4 is folded back twice to form a structure that the sheet material becomes threefold at least outside in the width direction from a top sheet 2 and fixed ends 49 of the three-dimensional gathers. Since the three-dimensional gathers have a threefold structure formed by the continuous sheet material, the problem of urine leaking from the open end between sheet materials can be dissolved.
