The purpose of the present invention is to prevent the occurrence of an accident in which a patient pricks their hand or other part of the body with a syringe needle by mistake in stowage operation.A sleeve (10) is fitted over a syringe cylinder (2) so that the sleeve (10) is axially movable from an administration position at which a syringe needle (5) protrudes to the front end side to a stowage position at which the syringe needle (5) is stowed. A coiled spring (16) which presses the sleeve (10) toward the stowage position is installed between the sleeve (10) and the syringe cylinder (2). The coiled spring (16) is held in a compressed state by a spring holder (17). The spring holder (17) is operatively associated with the syringe cylinder (2) so that the coiled spring is released by further pressing the syringe cylinder (2) to the front end side after the administration of a medical solution.
