The present invention relates to a medical injection device having a polymeric housing. The housing comprises a molded outer housing element and a molded ring-shaped integral element. The ring-shaped integral element comprises a pointer and thread segments in a predetermined interrelated position. The pointer points to the mark on the scale drum and the thread segments guide the scale drum.
