A therapeutic or non-therapeutic method of inducing satiety in a mammal is described. The method comprises administering to the mammal a composition comprising microparticles, in which the microparticles comprise lipid contained within a gastric-resistant, ileal-sensitive, carrier configured for release of the lipid in the ileum, wherein the composition is administered 1-3 hours prior to a meal. The carrier is a protein, typically denatured or hydrolysed plant or dairy protein, that is polymerised to form a lipid containing shell or matrix.L'invention concerne un procédé thérapeutique ou non thérapeutique d'induction de la satiété chez un mammifère. Le procédé consiste à administrer au mammifère une composition comprenant des microparticules, les microparticules comprenant un lipide contenu dans un vecteur gastro-résistant, sensible à l'iléal conçu pour libérer le lipide dans l'iléon, la composition étant administrée de 1 à 3 heures avant un repas. Le vecteur est une protéine, en général une protéine végétale ou laitière dénaturée ou hydrolysée, qui est polymérisée de sorte à former une coque ou matrice contenant un lipide.
