The present disclosure is related to a degradable and biodegradable formulation of edible plastic material for miscellaneous uses. The formulation comprises a secondary mixture consisting of casein and a main mixture consisting of food grade glycerin, operculum wax, alginate, sodium benzoate and grain salt. Due to the molecular binding behavior of the material obtained with the controlled combination of the main mixture and the secondary mixture, is possible to take advantage of the material obtained for various applications. Not only covers a food, but being an edible material that is resistant to tension, compression, tearing and gas permeability, allows the transfer of food, protection and separation of at least two completely different foods, with the characteristic of being able to ingest and degrade itself in the mouth without causing harm to the consumer.La presente invención se refiere a un proceso y formulación degradable y biodegradable de material plástico comestible para usos diversos, la formulación comprende una mezcla secundaria que se compone de caseína y una mezcla principal que se compone de glicerina grado alimentario, cera opérculo, alginato, benzoato de sodio y sal de grano. Debido al comportamiento de unión molecular del material obtenido con la combinación controlada de la mezcla principal y la mezcla secundaria, se puede aprovechar el material obtenido para diversas aplicaciones ya que no solo recubre un alimento sino que al resultar un material comestible resistente en tensión, compresión, rasgado y permeabilidad a los gases, permite el traslado de alimentos, protección y separación de al menos dos alimentos completamente diferentes, con las características de poderse ingerir y degradarse en la boca sin causar un daño al consumidor.
