PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foldable wheelchair that reduces burdens on both of a wheelchair user and a helper upon using a bathroom, and can be stored in a compact form.SOLUTION: A foldable wheel chair 1 with an openable seat, is provided with: left and right base frames 4 each including wheels 2 and rotation mechanisms 3 therefor a folding mechanism 5 fixed across the base frames 4 such that a distance therebetween can be changed a bendable seat frame 12 rotatably connected with the upper portion of the folding mechanism 5 and provided across a space 7 between the left and right base frames 4 armrests 13 standing at front ends 4a of the individual base frames 4 and backrest frames 15 standing at rear ends 4b of the individual base frames 4 and including a flexible member 14 across a gap between the backrest frames 15. The bendable seat frame 12 includes a bending structure 8 to bend the bendable seat frame 12 at a center 7a of the space 7, feeding mechanisms 10 provided on the left and the right sides of a bendable portion 9, and left and right seat bodies 11 mounted on the individual feeding mechanisms 10.
