PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article which is hardly twisted and is excellent in fitness and leakage preventability.SOLUTION: An absorber 4 has a convex portion 40 whose lateral-direction central part is thicker than its surrounding area and projects to a skin-facing surface side. The convex portion 40 includes an excretion part-facing convex area 41 which extends in a longitudinal direction through an excretion part-facing part B provided opposite to an excretion part of a wearer when the absorber 4 is worn and which straddles a virtual straight line L1 dividing a body 5 into two in the longitudinal direction. In a skin-facing surface 2a of a body 5, a first groove 50 having a continuous straight line portion 51 that encircles the excretion part-facing convex area 41 and extends in a longitudinal direction X along the excretion part-facing convex area 41 and a second groove 60 positioned at the longitudinal-direction X side, of a longitudinal-direction back end 50b of the first groove 50 are formed, the first groove 50 and the second groove 60 being not connected with each other.
