PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorptive article that easily fits the body and exhibits high leak preventing property.
SOLUTION: A surface sheet 2 has, on a skin abutting surface 2a, a large number of projections 23 surrounded by linear recesses 20 formed by pressure-fitting or bonding constituent fiber, and includes heat extensible fiber extended in length by heating, as the constituent fiber. A groove part 7 formed by integrally recessing the surface sheet 2 and an absorber 4 in the extended state is formed in a region, overlapped with the absorber 4 in a plan view of the absorptive article 1, of the skin abutting surface 2a of the absorptive article 1. The groove part 7 includes a pair of longitudinal groove parts 71b, 71b extending in the longitudinal direction X of the article viewed from above, and a pair of width direction groove parts 72b, 72b extending in the width direction Y of the article viewed from above. These groove parts 71b, 72b are connected to form the annular groove part. A discharge part facing part facing a discharge part of a wearer in the absorptive article 1 is surrounded by the annular groove part.
