PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article in which bad odor derived from excrement is reduced.SOLUTION: An absorbent core 4 comprises a lamination structure of: a skin side layer 40 forming a skin facing surface and having a content of water absorptive fibers which is larger than that of a water absorptive polymer； and a non-skin side layer 41 forming a non-skin facing surface, and in which a ratio of a content of the water absorptive polymer to a content of the water absorptive fibers is larger than that of the skin side layer 40. An antibacterial agent is adhered to a surface of the water absorptive polymer. The absorbent article has a first sheet 5 contacting the skin facing surface of the skin side layer 40, and a second sheet 6 which is interposed between the skin side layer 40 and the non-skin side layer 41 and contacts both layers 40, 41.
