PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article wherein the liquid permeability of a body fluid into an absorber is further improved and wherein stuffiness or a rash can hardly occur.SOLUTION: This absorbent article 1A includes a front face sheet, a rear face sheet 3, and the absorber 4. An upper layer sheet on a skin-facing face side rather than the absorber 4 includes: a skin-facing side layer 21 having unevenness by embossing a non-skin-facing face side layer 22 not applied with embossing skin-facing face side fiber 21f constituting the skin-facing face side layer 21 non-skin-facing face side fiber 22f constituting the non-skin-facing face side layer 22 and traverse fiber 2f straddling between the skin-facing face side layer 21 and the non-skin-facing face side layer 22. In an interface between the skin-facing face side layer 21 and the non-skin-facing face side layer 22, the skin-facing face side fiber 21f and the non-skin-facing face side fiber 22f are thermally fused to each other, and the traverse fiber 2f is thermally fused to the skin-facing face side fiber 21f inside the skin-facing face side layer 21 and the non-skin-facing face side fiber 22f inside the non-skin-facing face side layer 22.
