PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a corrected image free from a virtual image by removing the virtual image produced by the correction of strain so that an inclined magnetic field distribution has the extreme value point.
SOLUTION: The point on a reconstituted image corresponding to the extreme value point of the inclined magnetic field is specified from the strain distribution quantity of an image, and the virtual image formed by the signal in the extreme value point of the inclined magnetic field by the correction of strain is removed by setting the pixel value of the image outside from the center of the inclined magnetic field of the point to a predetermined value to thereby obtain a magnetic resonance image from which the virtual image is removed. For example, Jacobian is used in order to specify the extreme value point.
