The application also relates to a tilting device (3) for a wheelchair (4), including seat bearers (13a, 13b) and cheeks (121 a, 121 b), being provided with a cavity, and wherein the seat bearers (13a, 13b) are hingedly connected to the cheeks (121 a, 121 b). The tilting device (3) includes a spring body (33), housed in the cavity of the cheeks (121 a, 121 b), and attached at one end to the cheek (121 a, 121 b) and at the other end hingedly connected to a link piece (35).
