PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mist generator capable of appropriately preventing, by a simple means, much water from staying inside a device at the stop of operation.
SOLUTION: The mist generator MG comprises a case 1 having a collision wall part 12 and a mist jet port 13 a water storage part 14 for storing water supplied from a water supply means 92 a rotor 2 rotatable by the drive of a motor M to splash water in the water storage part 14 toward the collision wall part 12 to generate mist during rotation and an operating means 6 capable of switching an operation ON state in which the motor M is driven while supplying water to the water storage part from the water supply means 92, and an operation OFF state. The mist generator MG further comprises a control means 7 carrying out processing for reducing the quantity of water in the water storage part 14 by continuing the drive of the motor M to generate mist even after the stop of water supply operation to the water storage part 14 when the operation OFF operation is performed by the operating means 6.
