PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for removing a foreign matter on a shellfish surface, having high processing efficiency and capable of effectively removing a variety of foreign matters adhered to the surface of a shellfish without causing a damage to a tip of a shell edge.SOLUTION: A device includes: a first foreign matter removing body that includes a first removing surface provided with a first remover for removing foreign matters of a shellfish and is supported to the inside of a housing so that the first removing surface is inclined by a predetermined angle relative to the horizontal surface； a second foreign matter removing body that includes a second removing surface provided with a second remover for removing foreign matters and is supported to the inside of the housing so that the second removing surface faces the first removing surface while being spaced apart a predetermined interval corresponding to the thickness of a shellfish relative to the first removing surface； and a drive mechanism for allowing the first foreign matter removing body and the second foreign matter removing body to reciprocate in a different-phase manner.【課題】 貝刃先に損傷を生じることなく、貝の表面に付着した種々の異物を効果的に除去することができる、処理効率の高い貝表面異物除去装置を提供する。【解決手段】 本装置は、貝の異物を除去する第１の除去部が設けられた第１の除去面を有し、該第１の除去面が水平面に対して所定の角度だけ傾斜するように筐体内部に支持された、第１の異物除去体と、異物を除去する第２の除去部が設けられた第２の除去面を有し、該第２の除去面が、第１の除去面に対して、貝の厚みに対応する所定の間隔をもって対向するように筐体内部に支持された、第２の異物除去体と、第１の異物除去体と第２の異物除去体とを異なる位相で往復運動させる、駆動機構と、を備える。【選択図】 図１
