Electrode assembly for appts. affecting central nervous system - produces electrical current through head of user via flat electrodes on forehead and neck for stimulation or sedation
Appts. influencing the central nervous system by means of low power electrical potentials/currents, comprises a light framework which carries conducting contact surfaces (9,10) on cross arms (5,6) respectively. The surfaces (9,10) are adjustable in position and orientation to suit the facial dimensions of a reclining user and exert gentle pressure on forehead and neck as a result of the weight of the electronic oscillator and its battery (13) mounted on a third arm (12). Surfaces (9,10) are padded and incorporate a microswitch (14) for pressure operated on-off control of the oscillator (13). USE/ADVANTAGE - Promoting relaxation and sleep or conversely heightened sense of awareness depending on polarity of electrodes. Compact and easily adjusted device employing known benefits of electro therapy. Does not require adhesive or tensioning aids for retention of contact surfaces in correct position.
