The present invention relates to a new compound separated from garlic, N-benzyl-N-methyldecan-1-amine, and a new method for separating the compound. The N-benzyl-N-methyl-decan-1-amine, separated from garlic, of the present invention has a cytostatic effect of various cancer cells such as colon cancer, melanoma, stomach cancer, liver cancer, sarcoma, and breast cancer and an excellent antitumor activity compared to conventional anticancer drugs by having an effect of suppressing tumor size in a mouse animal model that melanoma is induced. In addition, the present invention has no side effects and is stable in the body as an ingredient of a natural origin.
