PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a corrosion resistance evaluation method for a metal material that simulates an actual environment, the metal material, and a device for testing corrosion acceleration of the metal material. SOLUTION: The corrosion resistance of the metal material is evaluated by setting it as one cycle to repeat (A) a process for sticking salinity containing chloride ions, to the surface of the metal material and (B) a drying process and a wetting process of variably setting temperature and relative humidity to the metal material, and carrying out at least once a process of performing this cycle at least once. In the process (A), the average grain diameter of salt water sticking to the metal material is 1-300μm; the sticking amount of salinity is 0.1-10,000 mg/m2, and a required time is 10 minutes or less. In the process (B), the dew point fluctuation of the drying process and wetting process is set within±5°C. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
