PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a screening method of a psychotropic drug.SOLUTION: The screening method of a psychotropic drug includes steps for: (i) allowing a depression model animal to perform an action program in a plurality of times (ii) acquiring an action data group (R, e) of a reward quantity Rn and an error rate en (iii) acquiring an average action data group (iv) calculating reward sensitivity (a) and cost sensitivity (b) by applying the average action data group (R, E) into a mathematical model by a least-squares method and (V) comparing the reward sensitivity (a) and/or the cost sensitivity (b) before and after administration of a candidate substance of the psychotropic drug.
