PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a non-water absorbing material for treating excrement granulated at ordinary temperature under pressure.SOLUTION: A method for producing a non-water absorbing material for treating excrement comprises: mixing a crushed Japanese cypress with a binder, a water-repellent, and water, cylindrically granulating the mixture by extruding it at a pressure of 600-800 kgf/cm at ordinary temperature as a line contact and drying the granule obtained by granulation. When the obtained non-water absorbing material for treating excrement is immersed in physiological salt solution, and taking it out after 10 minutes and leaving it for 1 minute, the mass is ≤125% of the mass before the immersion, when taking it out after 20 minutes, and leaving it for 1 minute, the mass of the material is ≤140% of the mass before the immersion, when taking it out after 30 minutes, and leaving it for 1 minute, the mass is ≤155 mass% of the mass the before immersion.COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT【課題】常温加圧下で造粒した排泄物処理用無吸水材を製造する。【解決手段】粉砕したヒノキに結合剤と撥水剤と水とを加えて混合し、混合して得られた混合物を、常温下で、線接触として600~800kgf/cmの圧力をかけながら押し出して円柱状に造粒し、造粒して得られた造粒物を乾燥することで、生理食塩水に浸漬し、その10分経過後に取り出して1分間放置した後の質量が浸漬する前の125%以下となり、20分経過後に取り出して1分間放置した後の質量が浸漬する前の140%以下となり、30分経過後に取り出して1分間放置した後の質量が浸漬する前の155質量%以下となる排泄物処理用無吸水材を製造する。【選択図】なし
