SOLUTION: A manufacturing method of an absorbent body includes: a first step of cutting a strip-shaped superabsorbent sheet whose length in the width direction is as long as a desired length in the longitudinal direction of the superabsorbent sheet in a desired absorbent body at least to a desired length shorter than the length in the width direction, rotating the cut superabsorbent sheet by 90 degrees in the horizontal direction, and piling it on a base material sheet to obtain a laminate and a second step of obtaining an absorbent body of a laminated structure by piling pulp mats where a pulp composition including at least pulp is formed into a mat on the laminate.
