PURPOSE: A handle for a catheter is provided, which makes operation improved and can easily stop a manipulation part in the arbitrary axial position. CONSTITUTION: A handle for a catheter comprises a handle body(24) a manipulation part(22) which is mounted in an axial direction about the handle body and an elastic member(42) of a ring shape which is mounted between the handle body and manipulation part. The proximal end of the catheter tube is fixed to the manipulation part. The elastic member is mounted in the handle body. In the outside circumference surface of the controller member placed on the inner girth of the handle body, the taper surface(40) in which the outside diameter becomes small toward the top is formed. A controller wire is inserted and penetrated within the catheter tube.
