The machine for lifting vegetables from the ground has a rotor with teeth (5) movable in guide bores formed in the periphery of a drum (2) which is driven by one or more belts (8) extending around the drum. The drum has a central support (6) for the teeth to prevent contact of the teeth with the edges of the bores. The support is placed in an elastic membrane to prevent entry of debris.
