The method comprises: scanning a smart device, and searching for a virus file having a root permission in the smart device (S101); obtaining a removal process having a root permission according to the virus file (S102); and removing a virus having the root permission according to the removal process having the root permission and a preset processing policy (S103). In the solution, a process having a root permission is directly obtained according to a found virus file, and accordingly the speed of obtaining a root permission by a smart device can be improved, thereby improving the check and kill speed for a virus having a root permission.
