A real-time position tracking device for racing pigeon is disclosed, including a GPS recorder and a GSM communicator that is arranged respectively on the left and right legs of a racing pigeon. The GPS recorder is able to locate by means of the global positioning system and send out wirelessly the positioning information to the GSM communicator. The GSM communicator is able to wirelessly receive controlling commands sent by a GSM communicating device in order to send the located position information back to the GSM communicating device. By using the GPS recorder, position of the racing pigeon can be located and recorded as well as sending the positioning information to the GSM communicator at regular time in addition, the GSM communicator is designed to be remote controlled to send back the latest positioning information.
