The present invention relates to a positioning system of seaweed cultivation for reducing global warming effect. This system includes a seaweed cultivating place which is disposed with a main driving boat and several secondary driving boats. Each driving boat contains a Global Positioning System (GPS) device, a controller, a power source, and an electricity supplier. The main and secondary driving boats are connected with a seaweed cultivating place. According to a central office’s moving signals and the GPS device’s positioning signals, the seaweed cultivating place can move to a predetermined location. Therefore, it can move to a predetermined location. The device is fully automatic. It can reduce the carbon dioxide. Its electricity generation is eco-friendly.
