PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a body weight increase inhibitor capable of sufficiently obtaining an inhibitory effect on body weight gain (diet effect) even if the concentration of an active ingredient is very small, and excellent in safety.SOLUTION: This body weight increase inhibitor includes as an active ingredient a ferulic acid ester generated by esterifying the carboxy group of a ferulic acid and the hydroxy group of a chain aliphatic alcohol. Thus, the suppression effect on an original body weight increase of ferulic acid decomposed after being absorbed can be sufficiently drawn in order to enhance the absorption of the ferulic acid ester to be the active ingredient to an organ or the like upon ingestion. Therefore, even if the concentration of the active ingredient is very small, the inhibitory effect on body weight gain can be sufficiently obtained. Moreover, the body weight increase inhibitor is excellent in safety since the concentration of the active ingredient is very small, food preference can be utilized without having an influence on the taste inherent in the food even if adding to the food or the like.COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT【課題】有効成分の濃度が微少であっても、体重増加抑制効果(ダイエット効果)を十分に得ることが可能で、且つ安全性に優れる体重増加抑制剤を提供する。【解決手段】フェルラ酸のカルボキシル基が鎖状脂肪族アルコールのヒドロキシル基とエステル化されたフェルラ酸エステルを有効成分とする体重増加抑制剤を提供する。これにより、摂取時では、有効成分であるフェルラ酸エステルの臓器などへの吸収を促すため、当該吸収後に分解されたフェルラ酸の本来の体重増加抑制効果を引き出すことが可能となる。そのため、有効成分の濃度が微少であっても、体重増加抑制効果を十分に得ることが可能である。更に、有効成分の濃度が微少で済むため、安全性に優れ、食品などに添加したとしても当該食品本来の味に影響を及ぼすことが無く、食品の嗜好性を活かすことが可能となる。【選択図】図1
