PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an agent for enhancing appetite which can be easily and simply taken in a state having excellent flavoring, and prevents excessive increase of body weight while safely and effectively enhancing appetite, and to provide an agent for inhibiting increase of body weight which inhibits increase of body weight against effect for enhancing appetite with the agent for enhancing appetite.SOLUTION: An agent for enhancing appetite or inhibiting increase of body weight comprises β-eudesmol as an active ingredient. The agent for enhancing appetite and/or inhibiting increase of body weight provides an agent for enhancing appetite which can be easily and simply taken in a state having excellent flavoring, and prevents excessive increase of body weight while safely and effectively enhancing appetite. The agent for enhancing appetite provides an agent for inhibiting increase of body weight against effect for enhancing appetite since the agent for enhancing appetite inhibits increase of body weight against effect for enhancing appetite with the agent for enhancing appetite.
