PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently producing purified rice wax by using ethanol as a solvent.
SOLUTION: The method for producing purified rice wax contains the 1st step to stir a mixture of crude wax extracted from rice bran and ethanol at 49-73°C and separate the mixture into colloid particles containing the wax and ethanol fraction containing soft wax and the 2nd step to recover the colloid particles containing the wax from the colloid-containing liquid maintained at 49-73°C.
