PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic resonance imaging apparatus which can suppress a fat signal more excellently.SOLUTION: A magnetic resonance imaging apparatus includes an imaging condition setting part 40 and an imaging system. The imaging condition setting part sets an imaging condition including application of a fat suppression pulse with at least either an inversion time between application timing of the fat suppression pulse and application timing of a high-frequency excitation pulse or a flip angle of the fat suppression pulse, as at least either an appropriate time in accordance with both a repeat time and an echo time or an appropriate angle.
