PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic resonance imaging apparatus which generates a sensitivity map with few body motion artifacts by a map imaging reduced in imaging time per slice, and also suppresses or controls contrast of the sensitivity map.SOLUTION: A magnetic resonance imaging apparatus includes: a parameter storage part which stores parameters of a pulse sequence for a map used for map imaging an imaging part which images a subject on the basis of the parameters of the pulse sequence for the map to acquire imaging data and a sensitivity map generation part which generates a sensitivity map on the basis of the acquired imaging data. The pulse sequence for a map includes: a pre-pulse having a flip angle of smaller than 90° and a high-speed gradient echo sequence including a plurality of excitation pulses following after the pre-pulse.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2COPYRIGHT: (C)2016,JPO&INPIT
