PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a deodorizing agent having chemical deodorizing effect to basic odor, and a method for deodorizing used for that.
SOLUTION: The deodorizing agent for basic odor comprises (a) one or more kinds of perfume substances chosen among amylcinnamic aldehyde, cinnamic acid ethyl, nootkatone, cis-jasmone, acetyl cedrene, 2-methyl-3-(4-tert-butylphenyl)-propanal, 2-cyclohexyl propanal, dimethyl tetrahydrobenz aldehyde, gelanyl acetone, 6-methyl-5-heptene-2-ON, methylhexyl ketone, formic acid cis-3-hexenyl, butyric acid cis-3-hexenyl, lactic acid cis-3-hexenyl, etc., or (b) solvent extracts of one or more plants chosen among Burseraceae, Cistaceae, Geraniaceae and Dipterocarpaceae. The method using the agent for deodorizing is also provided.
