A deodorant which contains at least one of fullerenes as an active deodorant ingredient. It can selectively remove nonenal, acetaldehyde, octenal, hexenal, and palmitoleic acid, which are main ingredients causative of aging note and body odor, isovaleic acid as a foot odor ingredient, and ammonia, indole, skatole, mercaptans, etc. as body odor ingredients. It is applicable to a wide range of applications including the deodorization of textile products including clothes, rooms, and furniture. It is a new deodorant having a higher deodorant effect. Various applications employing the deodorant are realized.
