The tampon (1) has layer adhesion between cladding layer (2) and core (3). The cladding layer is of a nonwoven fabric, which contains a fusible, thermoplastic fiber beside a matrix fiber and the core contains a fusible, thermoplastic fiber beside a suction fiber. The matrix fibers of the cladding layer is of bi component fibers based on polyolefins and polyesters.
